Your grandparents may remember the old silent Charlie Chaplin comedy films. If so, they will probably tell you that without the music that accompanied them these films would not be much fun.

Later, when films began to have sound, the music stayed because directors use pieces of music and sound to create particular moods and feelings. We call these musical clichés.

________________________

In horror films and thrillers, for example, loud sounds let you know when something frightening is going to happen. Violin tunes accompany emotional scenes in romantic films, and in adventure films we use sharp and fast sounds for actions scenes.

Some musical clichés introduce specific places. Shots of Hong Kong, for example, often have xylophone music in the background while shots of Paris come with melodies played on accordion. There are many musical clichés for a number of types of scenes.

So, next time you watch a film, pay attention to the music in the background. You will be surprised how many musical clichés you can spot.

People shop a lot. We buy clothes, food, music, mobile phones, and millions of other things - for what seems like a million different reasons. Obviously, we buy things because we need them. But sometimes it's just to fit in. Sometimes we buy stuff and we just don't know why. Everything we buy affects the environment, but some choices are better than others. We have the power to make those choices. We can:

1. Buy smart. Take some time to think before you buy something - maybe you don't really need it. Send a virtual e-card instead of a paper birthday card. Buy things that will last a long time, such as rechargeable batteries.

2. Share with friends. Maybe you and your friends like the same video games. Why don't you share or swap your games instead of buying one each?

3. Buy recycled. Fewer natural resources are used to produce recycled items, which helps the environment. Read the labels and choose recycled!

In 2002 90% teenagers reported buying a product for a good cause. What have you been doing since?

Критерии оценивания

При составлении критериев оценивания работы, учитывались требования к выпускнику 7 класса, утвержденных Министерством науки и образования РФ, а так же внесенных в Рабочую программу по английскому языку для 7 класса МБОУ СОШ №1 им. Колесника А.С. ст. Отрадной.

Оценка «5» ставится, если в разделе Чтение задания выполнены полностью. Отсутствуют лексические и грамматические ошибки в письменных ответах, или их наличие не искажает смысл предложения. В разделе Лексико-грамматический тест задания всего раздела выполнены правильно. В разделе Письменная часть даны полные развернутые ответы на все вопросы. Отсутствуют грамматические и лексические ошибки.

Оценка «4» ставится, если в разделе Чтениеотсутствует ответ на один вопрос, или дан неправильный ответ на него. Отсутствуют лексические и грамматические ошибки в письменных ответах, или их наличие не искажает смысл предложения.В разделе Лексико-грамматический тест задания всего раздела выполнены, но имеется допустимое количество ошибок. В разделе Письменная часть даны полные развернутые ответы на половину вопросов, остальные ответы на вопросы краткие. Допущено 1-2 лексико-грамматические ошибки, не искажающие смысл предложения.В разделе Письменная часть даны полные ответы, но имеются лексические и грамматические ошибки. Или даны краткие ответы на все вопросы без ошибок. Наличие двух-трех ошибок, не затрудняющих понимания предложения.

Оценка «3» ставится, если в разделе Чтениезадания выполнены частично (50%). Допущены лексические и грамматические ошибки в письменных ответах, или их наличие искажает смысл предложения.В разделе Лексико-грамматический тест задания всего раздела выполнены частично (50%). Имеется допустимое количество ошибок.В разделе Письменная часть даны краткие ответы, но имеются лексические и грамматические ошибки в предложении. Либо, даны ответы только на два-три вопроса. Наличие более трех ошибок, затрудняющих понимание смысла.

Оценка «2» ставится, если в разделе Чтение задания выполнены частично (менее 50%). Допущены лексические и грамматические ошибки в письменных ответах, и их наличие искажает смысл предложения.В разделе Лексико-грамматический тест задания всего раздела выполнены частично (менее 50%). В разделе Письменная часть дан ответ на один вопрос. Наличие лексических и грамматических ошибок, затрудняющих понимание предложения. Ответ не соответствует вопросу.
